This up and coming young stallion has the bloodlines of a champion. Born April of 2001, WH Carthago Sun III has excellent conformation.

His sire, Carthago Z, won under Jos Lanzink numerous Grand Prix. Carthago Z's sire, Capitol, has produced great international jumpers ridden by top riders such as Frank Sloothaak (Cassini I), Nick Skelton (Cathleen), and Otto Becker (Dobel's Cento). Carthago Z 's dam, Perra, is by Calando I (Cor de la Bryere) another highly successful jumper.

WH Carthago Sun III's dam, Davos, has an incredible pedigree also. Her dam Talenta is out of Buehne, now a legendary Holsteiner sports mare. Buehne won 50 first place ribbons and 200 placings in open jumping in only two years. Talenta's sire, Landgraf I, was Stallion of the Century with his offspring's winnings in Germany topping D-mark 6 million. He is one of Holstein's foundation sires. Shampus xx, sire of Davos, was a winner in Thoroughbred racing at the age of three. He was taken out of training due to injury in 1988.

At his stallion licensing, WH Carthago Sun III scored 9 in jumping and ended overall with a first premium. He finished his Stallion Performance Test in Alberta as Reserve Champion and was the winner of the jumping section. In 2006 he was the winner of the Western Canadian Championship for 5 Year Olds, held in Langley, BC.

In 2009 WH Carthago Sun III showed up to 1.45m and after a great year he had a very successful show at the Spruce Meadows Harvest Classic. Beda Wachter and Carthago Sun III placed first in the Calfrac 1.3m cup and third in the Pason 1.4m cup. On Saturday they also won the RPF 1.45m Grand Prix.

WH-Carthago Sun III shows talent with no limits !
