NADINE WACHTER

Nadine Wachter was born in 1996 in Switzerland. She was one year old when she moved to Canada with her parents. The first few years they lived on a dairy farm.
In 2000 the dairy farm was sold and her family decided to start a horse farm, that involved breeding, training and selling jumping horses.
Nadine always liked the horses, but it was not until 2006 that she started riding. With her first pony WH Dolly she started competing in jumping shows in Alberta and also in the USA. Soon Nadine was ready to ride horses as her confidence in jumping quickly got better. Her love of the horses and her willingness to learn allowed her to progress quickly. She works with her horses on a daily basis and likes to be in the stable.
In December 2007, she got her own horse from Germany, WH Matador. The couple has developed into a team and it is a pleasure to watch them go over fences. Even though Nadine is still a young rider, the two of them have already competed in classes as high as 1.25m.
Her second horse, WH Cascarina has been with Wachter Horses since 2001 and belongs to the family. Beda rode her up to the Grand Prix level and has now passed her on to Nadine so she can gain more experience on a really exceptional horse.
2009 has been a really good year for Nadine and her riding. In February she was invited to Costa Rica to show for Team Canada. She placed first and second and brought home memories for a lifetime. Also this year she moved up in height with WH Matador from 1.1m to 1.25m and with WH Cascarina from 1.1m to 1.2m. In 2009 she started in the FEI Children's jumper and finished with only 1 rail over 4 courses. She finished third overall in Western Canada. The future is bright for this young Rider.
